Letter from New President & CEO

Jake J. Jones, President & CEO of Adept Programs, Inc.

It is an incredible honor to lead and serve this great organization of ours! I previously served as Vice President of the A.D.E.P.T. Board of Directors. In that role, I’ve been fortunate to work closely with Ms. Consuelo Harris supporting her efforts to move the organization forward. While we have seen great success, we are hungry to do more. I  believe we are headed for greater places! As we start a new phase of our  journey together, I wanted to share some background on myself and  what inspired me to come to A.D.E.P.T. Programs, Inc.

I’ve worked in the Human Services field for over (15) years serving in  several leadership positions at advocacy and service organizations. My  first job out of High School was working as an Aide in a Long Term  Care facility. After that, I pursued a career in Music and later served in  the United States Army for (9) years. After, my military service I began  working in Human Services, while in college. Since then, I have served  in CEO roles of two community provider organizations in Camden and  Gloucester counties. My leadership style embraces best practices in all  of my dealings. I came here because I want to make a difference. Put  simply, I just want to be a force for good in the world. I continue to be  inspired by helping organizations make a positive impact in the world by  achieving their missions. And to that end, I want to share what I have cultivated; for the good of others. The best work happens when you  know that it’s not just work, but something that will improve other  people’s lives.

The opportunity ahead will require us to reimagine a lot of what we have  done in the past; and do some new things. Every one of us needs to do  our best work in order to help drive cultural change. Many organizations  aspire to be “best in class”. However, very few have the courage or  appetite to endure the transformation (which is essential) in the process of realizing meaningful evolution and growth. Gratefully, the successful  history of A.D.E.P.T. Programs, Inc. has laid a fantastic foundation.

I’m excited to work with each of you while we build on this foundation  together; creating our transcendent path forward!

With gratitude and appreciation,

Jake J. Jones
President & CEO
